Seat Leon the most sold car in Spain

4 / 5

Overview Of Car

The new SEAT Leon is a family car, along the same lines as a Ford Focus or Toyota Corolla, but with sporty-looking bodywork and lots of hi-tech equipment. The Leon might not have a VW badge, but it looks just as sharp as a Golf, if not even better. The triangular daytime-running lights signify SEAT’s unified look, along with the angular grille.

The Seat Leon is the most sold car in Spain

The Seat León has once again been the best-selling car in Spain for the 4th consecutive year. Compact models, like the Seat León, are not the most useful city driving and for parking, nor for a trip with the family of a thousand kilometers. However, it defends itself well and approves both in one section and in another. Therefore, it is logical to acquire a compact when looking for a car “as an all rounder”.

The first Seat Leóns appeared with a very sporty feel that appealed especially to the youngest ones. With the third generation, this Spanish brand was looking to expand its clientele and the more elegant design was introduced. Whilst this model may not be the best of the category in any specific way, it prides itself in being quite good in all of them. Perhaps more importantly, in price the Seat Leon is not the most affordable car in the category, but it is very good value for money.

Although it feels like an evolution of the old model, the fourth-generation SEAT Leon narrows the gap between it and the Volkswagen Golf. It doesn’t have quite the same wow factor as its more expensive rival, but it’s just as good to drive and features the latest digital technology.

Summary

The Seat Leon has never felt like such a complete and capable package, and neither has it ever felt so indistinct from its VW cousin, for better or worse. But it looks great, is good to drive, and has an interior that's almost as good as a Volkswagen Golf's. The Seat Leons are well built, refined and boast quality materials. If you are in the market for a sporty-looking hatchback, the Leon has it in spades.
